Baby Holly-May

Afternoon!
These images are from a photoshoot i did yesterday with 5 week old Holly-May.
She was the perfect model and managed to stay in the positions i posed her in.
Ready to show off these beautiful crocheted items made by my lovely friend Emma over at Lemons for Lemonade
Aren't they gorgeous?
I have never used props in my photos before (Unless parents want to use personal toys etc.)
I found some extremely cute hats (like these) online and knew Emma was the one to create these beautiful items for me. What do you think?

There was another little owl hat in shades of blue, which i will be using in a photoshoot next week with a little boy. Everyone has commented on the hats and told me how much they love them.
It's so much nicer having something unique and handmade to show off your bundles of joy!
I will definatley be putting in another order with Emma very soon :)

This cute little crochet headband and ribbon tutu set was made by a lovely lady on facebook.
The pink works lovely against her pale skin and a white background.

I am so pleased with how this photoshoot turned out.
Definatley one of my favourites so far! The props really helped, and i think i have found my own style now.
Mum and Dad were extremely pleased with the photos, as are the followers of my photography page which make me very happy indeed!

Welcome to my new Photography Blog

Hello everyone
I would just like to say welcome to my new Photography Blog.
Here, you can keep up to date with my recent photoshoots, news and special offers.

But first i would like to tell you a bit about myself...

My names Jodi, i've been doing professional photography for 6 years now. But it's only since i've had my son 2 years ago that i've been interested and found my speciality in Newborn and Pregnancy portraits.
Although i do like using a photography studio with lighting, i find when i'm taking photos of a baby and expecting parents, it's so much easier and more comfortable for them to do it in their own home.
I also use my own flat as a ''studio'' with natural lighting.
Some parents like to use toys, blankets, own clothes to make their shoot more personal. I have just ordered some beautiful handmade crochet items from an amazingly talented lady Emma who works at Lemons for Lemonade to use as props in my upcoming photo shoots.
BUT! You'll have to wait to see these beautiful items till my photoshoot next week with a 1 week old baby girl.
This is only a part-time thing hobby for me as i also have a small craft business.
But theres nothing more exciting than giving parents a beautiful portrait of their little one, that they can cherish forever.
I hope you enjoy my blog, and can spread the word amongst family and friends.
I also have a Facebook page with my online portfolio, please feel free to go and look and comment :)
